Select colors for the interior should start with the walls of the room, given its size. So, light colors visually increase the room and add air to it, and the dark ones, on the contrary, will eat space and visually reduce it. It is also necessary to take into account the side of the world where the windows go, and the degree of illumination. If this is the northern side, then it is better to use warm and light tones in the interior, and if there are southern ones and there are no obscuring elements (balcony, loggia), choose cold tones: blue, blue-green, gray and others. If you want to highlight the decor or furniture elements, you should choose neutral, for example light gray, shades in the decoration of the room. In the square room, it makes sense to highlight one of the walls with a contrasting color, but to divide the space into zones with the help of color and at the same time do not use them for its intended purpose is unreasonable. Do not forget about the color of the doors, floor and accessories. The light floor will look good with almost all the details of the interior, but too dark or bright floor can disturb the color balance and harmony.
