Diesel fuel is a heavy type of fuel, which is used to power a wide range of vehicles. Basically, diesel fuel is made of oil, but in addition to this, renewable products can use synthetic or biotiesel fuel for production. When working with such fuel there are a number of advantages and disadvantages.
Kinds
Diesel fuel is obtained by distillation of hydrocarbon components of crude oil. The resulting product is called simply diesel fuel. But this is not the only way to make a similar product. Synthetic diesel fuel is obtained from food waste, garbage, corn, hemp, straw and wood, and it is used to refuel cars, trucks and even some aircraft. The other form of such diesel fuel is biodisel fuel. Its production requires vegetable oils or animal fats. Bioadisel fuel works cleaner than a traditional oil product, although it is also sometimes mixed with oil diesel fuel.
Usage
Ordinary diesel fuel and bioadisel are used for vehicles. Such fuel can be more effective than gasoline, when it comes to heavy equipment and transportation of large -sized cargoes. It is often used in agricultural equipment, military transport, mining machines, logging equipment, as well as for refueling generators. In addition, some conventional cars can operate on diesel engines and a number of them even use bioadisel.
Pros and cons
Diesel fuel is a popular choice for heavy equipment and vehicles, since it is less ignited and less explosive than gasoline. When working on diesel fuel, the technique has less chance of stall. Despite this, it is heavier than gasoline and can be damaged by cold weather, although there is a special winter DT. From the point of view of health, diesel fuel emissions are more dangerous, including for the development of cancer. They can also aggravate respiratory diseases and increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
