Often they say that you can choose friends, but they don’t choose a family. This is well known to those who see their family only on holidays. But most modern families in the United States decide to live together, but not in the format in which you can imagine this. For Russia, this strategy of life together may seem strange, because in our country, due to lack of housing, people often live with their parents for many years and actively complain about this. But in the United States, it is customary to leave first for training after adulthood, and then rent your own housing, no matter how difficult it is.
Now in the USA the so -called multi -family housing (multi -column, multi -column, multifemily house) begins to be in demand). These are houses in which several generations of the family can live together, for example, parents and children, as well as grandchildren. These are not just ordinary houses – these are houses in which everything is designed so that families live together, but do not invade each other’s personal space. This is somewhat reminiscent of Townhaus with separate outputs for several families or the apartment life of fictional Voronins from the series.
Developers pay special attention to multi -picked houses. The fact is that if you use a regular house to live a few generations of the family, then this can create problems. And architects design multi -family houses, respectively.
One of the first major American developers to develop models of multi -family houses was Lennar. In 2012, when such a model of life only appeared in the USA, the company sold only 280 houses. Last year, the company sold 1.100 houses of multi -column type. In 2012, 280 houses sold Lennar were 1% of the total number of orders of the company. In 2015 1.100 houses sold Lennar have already amounted to 5% of the total sales of the company.
In houses from Lennar, each family has a separate entrance, separate bedrooms, separate living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and garages. Even the temperature controllers in the house for each family are separate. But families live under one roof, although they can independently choose whether to see each other or not.
