A person who has never dealt with plastic panels, at first glance, may seem that it is difficult to sheathe the walls, and not to cope himself. But this is not at all like this: plastic panels are very convenient to work. You only need to have the necessary tools, materials, a little skill, efforts and patience.
What will be needed for work?
Before starting work, prepare all the necessary materials. First of all, select the desired panels. They can be of different types: lining, tiles, leaf panels. The most common plastic lining is: the panels have grooves and are attached to brackets or nails.
Leaf panels and tiles are mounted directly to the walls for special glue or liquid nails.
Most often, wall lining with plastic panels is carried out on the frame. In this case, you will need a frame rail. Basically, use a wooden rail, but you can take a metal or plastic profile.
In addition, guides and moldings will be needed: starting, connecting, ceiling, finish, corner. Self -tapping screws, nails or brackets are used as fasteners.
Do not forget about the tools: you will need a hacksaw, level, plumb line, construction stapler or hammer, roulette, ruler.
Installation of the crate
With absolutely even walls, plastic panels can simply be glued to them on liquid nails. But if the walls are far from the ideal, you need to make a frame. For this, rails of 40-60 mm wide and 20-25 mm thick are used.
The installation of the frame depends on how you plan to arrange the panels: if vertically, then the crate is made in a horizontal plane, and vice versa. First, the upper and lower guides are fixed, and only then intermediate (step from 40 to 60 cm). If necessary, wooden or plastic linings are used to align the level.
Installation of plastic panels
After the readiness of the frame, you can proceed to the installation of panels. For this, the starting molding is first mounted. It is fixed along a strictly vertical line drawn using a plumb line from the upper corner of the room.
Sex and ceiling profiles can be installed in advance.
Insert the first panel into the starting molding. Then the second is inserted into it, and so on. Each panel can be attached with small nails to the crate, while the nails are driven into the protrusion of the panel.
The last panel is not attached to the crate: it is cut in size, inserted into the penultimate panel, slightly bend and inserted into a pre -installed finish martyr.
As you can see, there are no particular difficulties in walling with plastic panels. It is only important to correctly install the frame and monitor the evenness of the installed panels, and then your effort will be rewarded.
